Known as Scary Spice in her Spice Girl days, Mel B, 35, has carved out a new career as a TV presenter and actress. She lives in LA with her film producer husband, Stephen Belafonte, and her daughters, Phoenix Chi, 11, and Angel Iris, three.

Comfortable, modern mum, plus a bit sexy and a bit sassy.

I really love bright, bold colours and fitted dresses. I’m also a real leggings and boots girl.

From her Spice Girl roots to being named runner-up on season five of ‘Dancing With the Stars,’ Melanie “Mel B.” Brown is a perfect fit as host of Oxygen’s ‘Dance Your Ass Off.’
A hybrid of dance-off and weight-loss reality shows, ‘Dance Your Ass Off’ had Mel B.’s interest long before she ever was asked to host.
“I watched it last season and I fell in love with it!” she tells PopEater. “I mainly watched it because I thought, ‘What kind of show names their show, ‘Dance Your Ass Off’?’ I was like, ‘What is this all about?!’”

Mel B isn’t just a Spice Girl anymore. With hosting duties on the rump-shaking weight-loss series Dance Your Ass Off’s second season (Oxygen, 10/9c), a solo album in the works and a reality show on the horizon, the Dancing With the Stars vet has more on her plate than ever.
TV Guide Magazine: How has it been replacing Season 1 host Marissa Jaret Winokur?
Mel B: She’s a really good friend of mine. But this season is a lot different, with new producers, etc…. I was told to just be me, which is a great job to have!
TV Guide Magazine: Things have gotten pretty emotional on the show already.
Mel B: Oh, my God, yes. The contestants want to dramatically change their lives, to become better, healthier people. So that means letting go of old habits, old indulgences.
TV Guide Magazine: You also have a new reality show coming up on the Style Network.
Mel B: It’s set for September. You’ll see how my family life is, and how we cope—three kids with three different fathers! [Laughs] We’re an open book, so what you see is what you get.

Mel B was on the TV show “Lopez Tonight” last thursday, and talked with George Lopez about her tv shows, musical and secrets to stay fit.
George ask her reaction when she finished second in Dancing With The Stars, because he thinks she should have won… She says she was a little bit confused, but didn’t have much time to focus on it because three days after it the Spice Girls’ tour began, then everything was fine.
