Los Angeles, May 20, 2010 – From “Spice Girls” to “Dancing with the Stars,” Mel B has attracted a legion of fans around the globe with her extraordinary talent and outspoken personality. From party girl Scary Spice to the ultimate new millennium mom, the British beauty is now all grown up but her famous no-holds-barred approach to life remains the same as she combines 24/7 chaos, from live shows to acting gigs, with her life as wife and mom. Viewers will get to know Mel’s husband, Stephen Belafonte, and her two adorable daughters, Angel (3) and Phoenix (11), both from prior relationships. Style will follow Mel as she juggles it all and focuses on family, career and the many new opportunities that lie ahead. Produced by Studio Lambert, the new docu-comedy series “The Mel B Project” (working title) will premiere Labor Day weekend on Style.

Mel has been married for three years to her husband Stephen who is a film and television producer, as well as her business partner and best friend. In addition to running her production company with her, Stephen helps keep Mel’s always busy schedule straight, including business meetings, red carpet events and appearances around the globe. Despite her flourishing career, Mel also makes a point to take on all kinds of household responsibilities, from potty training to carpool to helping with homework.

Fans have followed the pop superstar for nearly two decades but this is far from the Scary Spice on stage that they’ve come to know. This is Mel B up close and personal – at home with her family, behind-the-scenes of her business and pursuing her dreams – in an intimate, hilarious and always unpredictable new series.

“The Mel B Project” (working title) is produced by Studio Lambert. Eli Holzman, Todd Hurvitz, Stephen Lambert, Melanie Brown and Stephen Belafonte are Executive Producers. Sarah Weidman and Merah Chung are Executive Producers for Style.
